10 Supervillains Who Made Other Supervillains

4. Carnage (Created By Venom)

Absolute Carnage
Marvel Comics

During the Secret Wars saga, Peter Parker came into contact with an alien liquid called a Symbiote. When this black goo engulfed his body, Spidey realised his powers had been amplified and so, saw this suit as a force for good.

Even though the alien costume made Spider-Man a more efficient superhero, he got rid of it when he learned it was sentient and turning him violent.

When the Symbiote bonded with Eddie Brock, a man who blamed Spider-Man for losing his job, he vowed to destroy the wallcrawler's life and became the supervillain, Venom.

When Venom was defeated, Brock was sent to jail and found himself sharing a cell with the serial killer, Cletus Kasady. After the Symbiote tracked down Brock, it broke into his cell, bonding with him once more. As Venom left, the Symbiote spawned an offspring, which merged with Cletus, turning him into Carnage.

After Carnage used the alien's power to go on a killing spree, Venom had no choice but to team up with his rival, Spider-Man, to take him out.

Ironically, it was the birth of Carnage that inspired Venom to abandon his crusade as a supervillain.
