Yes, I know, Starfire has tried to take on the Man of Steel a few times in the comics, and got swatted down hard each time, but those incidents are some of the best examples of Plot-Induced Stupidity in any comic. In each previous encounter, Kory has used her star bolts - concentrated solar radiation - to attack Superman, who's powered by solar radiation.
The worst thing about the writing of those fights is the fact that Starfire can also use her powers to drain solar radiation from others, by "imploding [her] star bolts" in her own words, and she's even used that technique to easily defeat a Kryptonian in the past! I guess she forgot she could do that when facing off against Superman.
Considering the fact that Kory has shown the ability to easily de-power Kryptonians, and she's matched Wonder Woman in combat, and even won an Amazon tournament, defeating several Amazons at once, she shouldn't have any trouble with Big Blue, as long as she uses her powers intelligently.
