10 Things About Superman That Make No Sense

4. EVERYTHING About Superboy Prime

Superman Blue
DC Comics

Even though he had a part to play in the aftermath of “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” his existence nevertheless comes across as yet another opportunity to duplicate Superman. His origin story is nearly identical to Superman’s - to the point of even having the same name - and his motivations as a hero turn villain seem even less creative.

Unlike Superman, however, Superboy would soon turn vengeful after being locked away in a pocket dimension - where he subsequently becomes a dangerous villain who would threaten the state of the Multiverse.

It’s questionable, though, whether Superboy would’ve even been a problem for Superman later on, had he not let have left behind in this pocket universe. Perhaps it’s pointless to say now, but honestly, a reader is far better off learning about other villains like Prometheus, than bother with Superboy-Prime.
