9. A Sentient Planet Is A Member

There are and have been a vast array of weird and wonderful beings in the Green Lantern Corps. There are, of course, a number of humans, but the hulking Bolovaxian Kilowog, the incompetent dog-like G'Nort, the tiny fly-like Bzzd and the pink-skinned, four-armed Slyggian Salaak can also count themselves amongst the ranks of Corps. However, no member is quite as weird as Mogo, the Living Planet. Mogo is exactly what it sounds like - it is a planet that is sentient and wields the same power as all the other Green Lanterns, only on a larger scale. Mogo is also capable of altering his own weather and surface conditions, such as plant growth and gravity, and he can travel through space at faster-than-light speeds. He has a form of sensory or extrasensory awareness of what is happening around and on himself and can telephathically guide Green Lantern Power Rings to their respective wielders.
