In 2013's Indestructible Hulk Special #1, a very unique way of simmering the Hulk's rage was unearthed. As Bruce Banner advised S.H.I.E.L.D. on ways to potentially calm the big green rage monster, he said Due respect, agent, but none of your behavioural scientists are ever going to understand the Hulk better than me. And the Hulk loves puppies. S.H.I.E.L.D then went on to make a Puppy Bomb (no, they really, really did) and, when the unstoppable monster needed to be stopped, they detonated it. Guess what happened; it worked and Hulk was calmed down. Hulk bloody loves puppies! They were crawling all over him and he was absolutely delighted about it. He's just a big softy, really.
