In the very first issue of Marvels flagship superhero team the Avengers - called Avengers #1, believe it or not - the Hulk joined up with his fellow heroes. Thanks to Loki being Loki, the God of Mischief's manipulation led to the rest of the Avengers losing all trust in Hulk - and that led to the green hero doing a runner from the group. What did he do after he ran away? Well, he joined the circus, of course! That's right, the Hulk became a circus act by putting on a load of clown make-up and pretending to be a robot. He took some time out to consider his options by performing an extremely weird act called "Mechano the Clown". Using his vast super-strength, the Hulk's act involved juggling a load of very heavy (and presumably scared and confused) circus animals (including a horse and an elephant). It puts the character in a whole new light, doesn't it?
