10 Things You Didn't Know About Loki

7. He Was A Redhead In His First Ever Appearance

As touched upon on the opening page of this article, in spite of the fact that Loki's first recognised appearance - in terms of the version everyone knows today - in a Marvel comic was in Journey Into Mystery #85 in 1962, he actually appeared in 1945's Venus #6, which was published by Timely Comics (an entity that would go on to becoming the Marvel company that is so recognisable today). In said comic, where Loki was depicted as a member of the Olympian gods who had been exiled to the Underworld. He then convinced Jupiter to allow him on to Earth - like Venus had been - and when he got there he made a point of spreading hatred everywhere he went. This version had the pointed features generally associated with the Devil and was actually a redhead, rather than the black-haired individual that most people recognise today.
