10 Things You Didn't Know About The Riddler

2. He Sported A Green Mohawk

The Riddler has had many iconic costumes €“ there was the green leotard of the Sixties, there was the Nineties green suit, but in DC€™s New 52 reboot of their comics he received a massive makeover. His distinctive red hair was replaced with a radical green Mohawk in the shape of a question mark in the background in the first issue of the New 52 Batman. This costume change proved to be divisive for fans, with some praising the new twist on his look and others deriding it as little more than a gimmick which would distract from the character. The New 52 made other changes to the character €“ his surname became Nygma and he was seen as an escaped Arkham inmate prior to his formal introduction in a later issue. The Riddler€™s look was later altered so that he once again donned a green suit with a question mark cane. This move allowed DC to make up for the anger many fans felt at the haphazard manner in which the Riddler€™s look had been changed.
