Wonder Woman's creator - the late William Moulton Marston (1893-1947), pictured on the left in the above image - wasn't just a comic book writer. Marston was also a psychologist, a lawyer and an inventor. As an inventor, Marston is credited as being the creator of the systolic blood pressure test. This would later become one of the key components of the modern polygraph - or lie detector - which invented by John Augustus Larson in Berkeley, California. Whilst this is an interesting fact in itself, it's also a fun coincidence given that Wonder Woman possessed the Lasso of Truth - a magical weapon that prevented people from telling lies when it captured them.
