10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Robin
4. Jason Todd Was The Only Dead Robin
There are very few moments in comics that are as ingrained in the public conscious as the death of Jason Todd. The fan-vote that caused it, the viciousness of his death, and who killed him have all become a brutal reminder of the life of a hero. However, Jason isn't the only person to die while wearing the elf shoes - several others have fallen in the line of duty too.
Stephanie Brown would be the next Robin to die, having been severely beaten by the villainous Black Mask. While she managed to escape and get to the superhero clinic run by Dr. Leslie Thompkins, she supposedly died due to the severity of her injuries, and from some assistance by Dr. Thompkins herself.
In more recent times, Damian Wayne was killed by an older clone of himself during the Leviathan storyline, where the League of Assassins were gunning for the Bat-Family. He went out not as the bratty punk son of Batman but as an absolute hero, completing his character arc in the best way possible before returning just a year later.
While both characters would return to life for one reason or another, their deaths actually mean that the odds of dying as a robin is a three out of five. That is one heck of a turnover rate!
