2. All Robins Are Orphans

A kid's parents are killed by a criminal, Bruce Wayne adopts them and trains them to be his bullet-shields. That is the quintessential story the general public has when thinking about Robin. For Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, that story is fairly accurate, but every other Robin has actually had a living parent.

Tim Drake's dad was alive and well when Tim used his deductive skills to figure out that Bruce Wayne was Batman and became Robin in 1989. His mother was killed by drinking the Obeah Man's poisoned water, but Tim lived with his father until the event storyline Identity Crisis, where Jack Drake was killed by Captain Boomerang before being adopted by Bruce.

Stephanie Brown's dad is a major crux of her character arc since he is the villainous Cluemaster and she became the Spoiler to "spoil" her dad's plans. Then there's Damian Wayne, who is the actual biological son of Bruce Wayne.
