With Marvel finding success in the 60s as more and more people became interested in superheroes, it came as quite a shock when, in issue #16, the original Avengers decided to call time on their merry little tribe.

From the very first moment this happened, and for decades after, fans the world over debated why they had done this and they always came up with the same answer, too make some more of that sweet, sweet, green.

With most of the team going back to their own titles then surely any fanbase, that had built up during their run in the Avengers, would follow. Meaning that each of these solo outings would get a significant sales boost.
