10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Thor

7. He Doesn't Have Kids

Mighty Thor
Marvel Comics

Generally, if a character has children, those children feature fairly prominently in their film and comic canon - even if it's just to give them motivation when their kids die tragically.

Thor, however, ends up being almost never referred to as a dad. Yet Magni - Thor's son - was actually a pretty major part of his story for a good while in the early 2000s. He's indirectly the reason that Thor is even able to use Mjolnir again, as it is only when Thor wishes to use the hammer to protect his family that the weapon considers him worthy to wield it again.

Magni does cease to exist at the end of his storyline, but Thor actively tells him he won't forget about him... and then just sort of never mentions his beloved son ever again.

We're not saying that Thor has to shed a tear while looking at a picture of Magni in his wallet every issue he appears in, but a casual mention of the son he totally had and supposedly loved would be maybe only fair.
