10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Thor
4. He's Always Been In Marvel Canon
Does anyone remember when Marvel just took Thor out of their comic canon for a year? Whether you do or don't, you can rest safe in the assurance that it's one of the weirdest things marvel has done with Thor - and that truly is saying something.
As part of the 'Heroes Reborn' storyline in 1996-7, Thor - as well as several other superheroes - were placed into a pocked dimension by Richard Reed, where they essentially ceased to exist in their conventional comics for a full year.
The actual Thor comic reverted to its prior name - Journey into Mystery - and continued with the conspicuous absence of the series' famous iconic character for the next year.
All in all, the entire thing serves as a very interesting experiment Marvel undertook - although the extent it was worth it is perhaps questionable.
