Years later, in reality, time-powered hero Waverider was able to release the Justice Society from their endless battle with Surtur. An android descendant of Hourman from the 853 Century traveled back in time and saved Rex Tyler one minute before his death. He kept Rex in a time-locked room that his son could visit.
