God, Frank, this just gets worse and worse.

It's a given that Castle will have killed plenty of innocents in his one man war on crime, it's just that most writers have chosen not to acknowledge it. One writer who did, however, is Frank Miller, who addressed the issue head on during his seminal stint on Daredevil.

Ambushing a group of drug dealers outside New York, the Punisher fires indiscriminately into a crowd and, having assessed his handiwork, discovers that one of his victims was just a kid. Despite this, Frank remains relatively unperturbed by the act, using the moment not for self-reflection, but instead to vent in more of a "look what you made me do!" type thing, laying the blame at the Drug Trade itself and not his approach to crimefighting.

There've been countless occasions where Frank's considered murdering minors, and while the character's usual murderous inclinations are a line too far for most, this is all pretty beyond the pale even for his most virulent defenders.
