10 Things We Learned From Marvel's August Solicitations

8. August Is Going To Be Rough If You Happen To Be Named Spider-Man

Invisible Woman Adam Hughes
Marvel Comics

Life has never really been that easy if you happen to be called Spider-Man. It's not like there's ever been a month where Spidey has just sat around in his pants, eating pizza, and playing video games, but August is shaping up to be one hell of a ride for the old Web-Head, whether it's Peter Parker, Miles Morales, or Otto Octavius wearing the tights.

Miles is going to need the help of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is bound to backfire spectacularly if he is to defeat his biggest threat to date; Otto is going to go head to head with Norman Osborn, the Spider-Man of Earth-44145, to prove once and for all who really is the Superior Spider-Man; and Peter will be up against a villain that has been causing trouble for the Marvel Universe since World War II in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #10.

Though Tom Taylor will still be at the helm for Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the artist has yet to be decided, while Christos Gage will continue his impressive work on Superior Spider-Man alongside Mike Hawthrone.

As for Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Saladin Ahmed and Javier Garrón will continue their fantastic work, with this being the last variant cover by Into the Spider-Verse art director Patrick O’Keefe.
