10 Things We Learned From Marvel's August Solicitations

6. Major X #0 Isn't Going To Be An All New Story

Invisible Woman Adam Hughes

Rob Liefeld's Major X has been an unqualified success, selling like hotcakes before it's even reached the stands, and is surely on course to get a full-blown run when it's mini-series is finally over. After all, money talks and it's making a truckload of it for the House of Mouse.

So, when it was announced that there would be a prequel issue, Major X #0, fans were obviously ecstatic and intrigued to see what would be on offer. Sadly, it turns out, not a lot.

It seems that though there will be a brand new short story, which will be positioned as a framing device for what follows, the vast chunk of the book will be a simple re-hash of the Wolverine arc that Liefield worked on with Eric Stephenson back in the day.

Which is a shame, and also a bit of a cop-out for anyone hoping to get some more Major X goodness under their belts.
