10 Things We Learned From Marvel's September Solicitations

2. Jason Aaron Isn't Quite Done With Thor

Carnage (Of The Absolute Variety)
Marvel Comics

Much like how Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo were supposed to be done with Batman but are now on the brilliant Batman: Last Knight On Earth, it turns out the War of the Realms wasn't exactly Jason Aaron's last hoorah into the world of Thor, as he is now writing the King Thor limited series.

This four issue series will see King Thor face off against Loki, and it also seems that Thor's three granddaughters, the Goddesses of Thunder, will be joining him in the fight against his adopted brother.

Joining Aaron is artist Esad Ribic, who was the one that drew Aaron's original God of Thunder series. A more fitting return you will not find.

Much like the aforementioned Snyder and Capullo, this really seems to be the team's swan song on the character. It's the end of an era, but it should be a truly spectacular one.
