10 Things That Will Never Happen In The DC Cinematic Universe

5. Amazons Attack!

The 2007 Wonder Woman limited series Amazons Attack! features an attack by the Amazons. Yes. It's really just that simple. It's unfortunate that Wonder Woman has so few iconic story arcs from which to draw material from for film adaptations. There's little doubt that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will get a solo venture following the Justice League film, provided her portrayal is well-received. While the heroine is certainly deserving of a solo movie and audiences would almost certainly flock to it, there's no sure bet that the movie will be an automatic success. One thing DC and WB should stay away from, though, is storylines like the Amazons Attack! arc. There are obvious reasons for this: Wonder Woman barely appears in the entire story, the motivation of the Amazons is ludicrous, etc. There are also reasons that are just becoming apparent with the onset of the DC Cinematic Universe: for one, Man of Steel has a plot that is not too dissimilar, featuring a lone hero from a distinct race defending humanity against his (or her) former countrymen. With cautious optimism, it's safe to say DC will take extreme care with the Wonder Woman film and ensure that ill-conceived books like this stay up on the shelf.
