10 Things You Didn't Know About Apocalypse

7. Creation As A Rather Contradictory Theme

Considering the word "Apocalypse" means the destruction on a catastrophic scale or even the end of the world as humans know it, the comic books in which the mutant villain appears seem to have a very contradictory theme of creation in them. The character himself creates new beings fairly regularly. Look at Mister Sinister and the numerous members of the Four Horsemen - Apocalypse essentially created them (not that they didn't exist prior to his alterations, but he created the monsters they became). There have also been beings created solely to oppose him. Ironically, it was Mister Sinister who created the most powerful of those beings - Nathan Summers AKA Cable. In fact, Apocalypse himself has essentially been recreated several times. Most notably, his followers - the Clan of Akkaba - brought about his return as a child in the "Heroic Age" story arc of 2010 and Fantomex cloned him to bring him up as a hero in 2012's "Dark Angel Saga".
