10 Things You Didn't Know About Daredevil

3. Co-Creator Bill Everett Is An Interesting Guy

Whilst Smilin' Stan Lee obviously takes a lot of the credit for being Daredevil's creator, he actually had about as much involvement in the character's origin as...well, any of the characters he still gets some money from. Artist Bill Everett should take a lot of the credit really, especially because he drew from his own life. Superstar Marvel artist Jack Kirby also had an unspecified amount of input into the original Daredevil concept, and Everett turned in his first-issue pencils extremely late, meaning Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko inked a lot of it. Everett was responsible for a lot of the first hand research, however, with his daughter being legally blind. He's also got creativity in his blood, if not timeliness. He's distantly related to the poet and artist William Blake, with his full name being William Blake Everett. So even if Stan Lee has nabbed some of his glory, he still has that going for him.
