7. Lady Ironheart Of Weirdworld
Beginning in Champions #25, the team encountered the strange creature known as the Man-Thing while in Tanzania and he accidentally dragged Champions members the Wasp and former Nova Sam Alexander with him when he is sucked into a portal into Weirdworld. There Nadia and Sam lose their memories and find themselves changed by the world’s magic. Immortal villain Eshu traveled to Weirdworld and found the heroes and after finding that Sam could now channel crystal energy, took them under his wing. With their help, Eshu became the Master of Weirdworld.
The Champions followed their teammates to Weirdworld but they found themselves transformed and without their memories as well, with the exception of Ironheart, who kept her memories and forced the rogue Shadow-Spider, the transformed Spider-Man, to help her find their friends.
Six members of the team found each other, joined the resistance, and agreed to take the fight to Eshu. Sam unleashed his full ability to tap into the powers of the crystals and would have nearly killed Riri had the Vivid Vessel (Viv Vision) not infused herself into the Ironheart armour which gave them the power to unlock Sam’s true memories and save the team. They defeated Eshu, who quickly fled before he could be apprehended and departed Weirdworld thanks to Man-Thing.
