1. He Wasn't Always Bald & It's A Young Superman's Fault That He Is
Back in pre-crisis continuity, Superman and Lex Luthor started out as friends - in fact, Luthor was something of a fan of the Kryptonian hero - and the would-be villain actually found a cure to Superman's weakness to Kryptonite. Perhaps even more startlingly, Lex Luthor had a full head of hair - well, at least until Superman put an end to it. The Man of Steel had set Luthor up with a laboratory in order for him to carry out his science experiments as a thank for finding the aforementioned cure, but Luthor accidentally blew it up, prompting the hero to come and save him. Whilst using his super-breat to extinguish the flames, Superman blew some of the chemicals on to Luthors head, which resulted in subsequent eternal baldness. This would actually turn out to be the original reason that the pair became enemies, as Luthor spent the rest of his life looking for revenge.
