10 Things You Need To Know About The Fantastic Four

7. The All-Powerful Offspring

Fantastic Four
Marvel Comics

It seems massively unlikely that Jon Watts' Fantastic Four movie will introduce Franklin and Valeria Storm from the get-go, but who knows whether these ridiculously powerful pair will appear in the MCU at some point later down the line. We've already seen the MCU versions of Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Iron Man have children, so all bets are off on that front.

While many will be completely familiar with the names of 'Mister Fantastic' Reed Richards, 'Invisible Woman' Sue Storm, 'the Human Torch' Johnny Storm and 'the Thing' Ben Grimm, some may not be all that familiar with the two youngest members of the Fantastic Four family.

Despite their young age, Franklin and Valeria are two of the most powerful beings in Marvel Comics. The older of the two, Franklin is a psionic-based, reality-tinkering sort who has abilities stronger than an Omega level mutant, despite not actually being a mutant. As for Valeria, she's a genius super-strong youngster who can time travel.

Franklin - named after Sue's father and also given the middle name Benjamin after the Thing - has been around since 1968, again a creation of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. For Valerie, she didn't debut until 1999 and her history is a little muddled, to say the least - at times depicted as the daughter of an alt-world Sue Storm and Doctor Doom, at others depicted as a child Sue had previously miscarried but who Franklin was able to save.
