10 Things You Need To Know About The Fantastic Four

6. The Villains

Fantastic Four
Marvel Comics

To be a truly great hero, you need a truly great villain to play off of. And for the Fantastic Four, they have got some phenomenal characters in their rogues' gallery.

The obvious villain who instantly jumps out is clearly Doctor Doom. Whether depicted as a merciless, murdering warlord with his sights on domination, or as a more tragic and sympathetic villain, Victor von Doom is one of the all-time great comic book characters, period.

Away from Doom, though, and there's the planet-devouring threat of Galactus, the turbulent relationship between the FF and Namor the Sub-Mariner, the Negative Zone powers of Annihilus, the science smarts and iron will of Mole Man, the crazed antics of Puppet Master, their evil rivals of the Frightful Four, the emotion-manipulating Pyscho-Man, Ronan the Accuser and his Kree army, the vengeance-seeking Super Skrull, the insane genius of the Mad Thinker, and so, so many more.

The Fantastic Four may not quite have as expansive and high quality a rogues' gallery as a Batman or a Spider-Man - let's face it, who does? - but they've got quite the impressive roster when it comes to the villains they so often find themselves squaring up against.
