10 Things You Need To Know About The Future Of Marvel

10. Miles Morales Is Now In The 616

Honestly, the best days of the Ultimate universe are way behind it. What began as a dynamic, inventive publishing line that saw Marvel updating some of their biggest characters for the 21st century (and all the new comics readers tempted in by the superhero movies) fell into a sad, mostly-decimated dystopian alternate world. Still, there's at least one thing worth salvaging from the whole sorry mess: Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man who replaced Peter Parker after his death, much to the chagrin of totally racist conservative commentators like Glenn Beck. Miles might have been a more compelling Spidey than even teen Peter. And he's definitely going to make it through. Marvel have said as much, and he's already popped up in a few issues of All-New X-Men, where he teamed up with the displaced mutants from the main universe. He and regular Peter Parker met in the Spider-Men miniseries, too. Expect a new Miles book, probably with a confusing title.
