10 Things You Need To Know About The Future Of Marvel

9. Ms Marvel Is Sort Of Being Rebooted

Kamala Khan is another of the best, most exciting recent additions to Marvel comics. The new Ms Marvel evoked a lot of the best things about the early Spider-Man issues, too, with a teenage outcast overcoming as much drama at home and with her friends as she does with fighting supervillains. Coupled with some dope art, it was a hit across the board. Writer G Willow Wilson put her foot in her mouth a little (and was apparently swiftly reprimanded by somebody behind-the-scenes), announcing on Twitter that €œAnd, again, MS MARVEL is not coming to an end€after our SECRET WARS tie-in, we€™ll reboot the series in the fall, with rest of Marvel U.€ Marvel are very clear on not wanting to call Secret Wars a reboot. So instead, Wilson walked back a little and described post-event Ms Marvel to be a €œjumping on point€ or €œrelaunch€. Which probably means a new first issue, but all of the storylines and characters introduced in the book so far remaining more or less intact. Hooray!
