10 Things You Need To Know About The Future Of Marvel
8. There Are Some All-New, All-Different Avengers
The Big Two skimped a little on Free Comic Book Day this year. DC previewed some of the big changes coming in their books with Divergence, whilst Marvel provided a prelude to Secret Wars and one other title that gives an even better idea of what their universe looks like in five months time: the All-New, All-Different Avengers. After the universe-spanning epic that was Jonathan Hickman's run on the Avengers title, writer Mark Waid and artist Mahmud Asrar are pairing things down a little as they build a totally new team of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. One that actually has Ms Marvel and Miles Morales on the roster, which is one pretty big surprise. That probably makes them the youngest members of the team in Avengers history, although they've got a good bunch of adult heavy-hitters to provide guidance. Including The Vision, who hasn't been a big deal in the comics but looks to be back in the spotlight as a result of Age Of Ultron. His powers are a bit weak, though...
