10 Times Batman Proved He Was No Hero

7. He's Killed Indiscriminately

Batman Red Sky

Despite the constantly-repeated refrain that "Batman doesn't kill," Batman has killed a lot of people. Honestly, a pretty staggering amount, and not just in the Golden Age.

Fans complained quite a bit about recent depictions of Batman - particularly Batfleck - killing enemies in movies, but don't seem to remember Michael Keaton's Batman blowing someone up with dynamite, or Adam West's Batman explicitly vowing to kill his enemies on occasion either.

Those fans would likely be shocked to discover that Batman not only killed constantly as a first resort in early stories, but continued to kill in modern comics, like when he dowsed a gang in bleach and thermite, and lit them on fire before curb-stomping one of them.

Most recently, Batman broke the Beast's neck, and left him to die in the wilderness just last year.
