10 Times Batman Went Too Far

6. Sent Death Man Into Space - Batman Inc.

Batman slaps Robin
DC Comics

Say what you will about Grant Morrison's philosophy that all DC stories are all canon and should be treated as such no matter how contradictory, when it pays off, it does so in spades. For instance, he takes a really cool one shot villain like Death Man and brings him back for the equally awesome Batman Inc.

Death Man's powers are exactly what the name implies, the dude CANNOT die. It doesn't matter what you do to him, he will always bounce back. As such, it's kinda hard to lock up a guy like this since he'll just starve himself until he can squeeze through the bars or just wait until a hundred years pass and everyone is dead so he can escape that way. This is about the only justification we can think of for Batman choosing to get rid of Death Man by LAUNCHING HIM INTO DEEP SPACE.

Having been rendered 120% done with Death Man's shenanigans because of events late in the story, Batman decides that the only way to really be rid of the villain once and for all is to use his inability to die against him and lock him on a shuttle bound for deep space.

Hardcore Bats, really hardcore.
