To describe Bullseye and Daredevil's relationship tumultuous is not so much an understatement as a lack of understanding about how the English language works. Even before he killed Karen Page, the assassin was already committed to destroying everything good in Matt Murdock's life beginning with his murder of Elektra back in the day. Daredevil very nearly killed Bullseye after that, dropping him off a building so he broke every bone in his body. The hit man only survived that because his skeleton was replaced with adamantium. It seemed like Bullseye was destined to live forever, and to forever kill anyone Daredevil got close to. He sorta forced his hand. When Daredevil finally just up and stabbed Bullseye through the chest, mimicking how Elektra got killed, you can just about understand. Turns out Matt Murdock was literally forced into that, however, since he spent the entirety of the Shadowland epic that occurred in possessed by a demon. Thus, he didn't have a choice.
