10 Times DC Went Too Far

5. Wally West Murders Everyone - Heroes In Crisis

Tom King's run on Batman had already ruffled some feathers, but they pale in comparison to the ire raised by his event comic, Heroes In Crisis - a story about a murder mystery taking place around a therapeutic sanctuary for traumatized superheroes. Long story short, the killer is revealed to be Wally West, who had just been returned to the DC Universe after spending years in limbo.

He used the VR therapy machines at the sanctuary to frame Booster Gold AND Harley Quinn simultaneously for the murders, including his own (which was really himself from five days in the future - it's complicated). So while the heroes go on a wild goose chase figuring out which of the two really did it, he could get off scot free.

Wally had many reasons for doing this, all of them complicated and we don't really have time to dig into it all. But not five years after bringing back this beloved character, does DC decide to pull something this gruesome on him. Nothing short of shameful.
