10 Times Doctor Strange Outsmarted Everyone

After Loki takes the role of Sorcerer Supreme, Stephen Strange is understandably more than a little upset.

So upset that he decides to take matters into his own hands, which culminates in the magician fighting the considerably more powerful trickster god. The whole thing seems like a terrible idea - right until the ex-Sorcerer Supreme decides to play dirty, and releases the unimaginably powerful villain Void from its hiding place in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

The creature possesses Strange, and comes narrowly close to murdering Loki before the God of Mischief realises he needs Stephen's help to defeat the creature, and that was all part of his plan to convince Loki to give him back his powers.

While this does sound like an entirely impressive feat, it does come with one caveat - that Loki had outsmarted Strange in the first place, having convinced him that he had won an entirely fake tournament for the title of Sorcerer Supreme.
