10 Times Doctor Strange Outsmarted Everyone

The key issue with the role of Sorcerer Supreme is that the cool cape and sweet magical powers come with a lot of responsibilities on the side. One of the most concerning of these is uncovered in Doctor Strange #19, which sees the heroic magician stripped of the title of Sorcerer Supreme for refusing to give up his corporeal form and join the Ancient One in the cosmos.

However, as anyone who has seen Stephen Strange in the past thirty years can confirm, this situation wasn't temporary. The Master of the Mystic Arts would continually do heroic things after his title was taken, until the Ancient One was practically forced to accept that no-one else would compare to the man, and reinstate his title.

Essentially, Strange managed to take a job that required him to cut all ties with the mortal world, and continue to work it despite refusing to do so - which is as much outsmarting the universe as it is outsmarting the Ancient One.
