10 Times Justice League Ruined Batman's Life

2. They Tried To Kill Him

In Endgame (the Batman comic, not the Marvel film), Joker unleashes his most powerful toxin on all of Gotham, infecting police officers, Arkham inmates, and superheroes. The reason why this toxin is so dangerous is because it causes the sufferers to kill the people they love. When the Justice League was exposed to the poison, they instantly tracked down the person they most admire, Batman.

Luckily, Batman has an armour designed to beat the Justice League in case they turned against him (Suddenly, Batman's protocol on how to take down his teammates doesn't seem too bad). According to Bats, designing the suit cost more than “about 60% of the world’s nations put into their respective militaries.”

It's armed with corrosives to stop the Flash, electronics to fry the Flash, relics to trap Wonder Woman in an illusion, and micro-Red Suns to de-power Superman.

Although the League were mind-controlled, they took most of the fight out of Batman, leaving him physically and mentally exhausted enough for the Joker to take control over the city. Despite the fact Batman defeated his nemesis once again, he suffered brain damage and amnesia, forcing him to retire from his vigilante lifestyle for a while.
