Daredevil is a hero who is seemingly incapable of managing to protect his secret identity, leading to an almost endless amount of scenarios where his life as Matt Murdock is revealed, and then summarily threatened by all the people who dislike superheroes.

While there's an entire stash of these storylines to rifle through, the most entertaining in terms of making him public enemy number one has to be the case that occurs in volume 4, issue #15 of the main Daredevil series.

This run of the series takes place in a time where Murdock has openly revealed that he's Daredevil, only for this to be used against him when The Owl decides to air the secrets that every single person in Matt's life has ever told him, leading Daredevil to be despised by the public who had previously adored him.

The situation is so bad that Matt even resorts to trying to make deals with Kingpin to see his friends at least safe, but this ultimately falls through - which is lucky, as defeating Kingpin is exactly what helps Matt redeem his name.
