10 Times Superheroes Weren’t There To Save The Day

The Plutonian was a beloved superhero sent to Earth to protect mankind. Like Superman, he has incalculable strength, the ability to fly, and super-hearing.

Because his hearing is so acute, he is bombarded by people pleading for help every waking moment. One day, it was too much for him and he flew to the Moon to give himself ten minutes of peace. After saving the world for years, the least the superhero deserved was a little time to himself.

And that's all it took for the world to descend into chaos. While the Plutonian was on the Moon, an alien virus spread through a small city, turning dozens of children inside-out. When the other superheroes of the world learned the virus was caused by a device that the Plutonian once harboured, some of them suspected he was responsible for the attack. Terrified his reputation would be destroyed, the Plutonian panicked and killed anyone who knew of his connection to the device. When his murder spree was discovered, the world turned against the once treasured superhero. The Plutonian went insane, turned on his former allies, and became the world's deadliest supervillain.

And this allllllll happened because he took a ten-minute break.
