10 Times Villains Stole Superheroes’ Powers

No list about villains stealing heroes' powers would be complete without at least a mention of Rogue and her days as a major enemy of the X-Men, the Avengers, and just about any other group of heroes Marvel had hanging around during this time.

Having used her mutant powers to steal powers from the likes of Thor, Captain America, Wolverine and many more, Rogue's rise to prominence in Marvel comics was largely because of her mutant ability to steal the powers of anyone she touched, as it meant writers could place her against just about any hero and have her pose a legitimate threat to them.

Nowadays Rogue is safely an ally of the heroes she once fought so brutally against, but this doesn't stop her powers from occasionally still sabotaging folk here and there - such as the time she accidentally absorbed Sunfire's consciousness into her own.
