10 Twisted Comic Book Telepaths You Don't Want Inside Your Head

1. Manchester Black (DC)

First Appearance: Action Comics #775 Manchester Black hasn't been around for long, having been introduced this side of the new millennium, but he has still managed to made quite the impact since his first appearance. He is a quintessentially British man with dyed purple hair, a long leather coat, a Union Jack on his breast and an omnipresent cigarette (or "fag", for us Brits) hanging out of his mouth. Black is part of a vigilant team known as "The Elite". They were anti-heroes, in the sense that they dealt with criminals and villains, but in a very immoral way - usually outright killing them. He saw Superman's methods as too merciful and wanted to deal with wrong-doers in his own way - and this brought him in to conflict with the Man of Steel. Granted vast telepathic and telekinetic powers by a growth on his brain, Black toyed with Superman. He telekinetically induced a stroke on the Kryptonian and mocked him while he "twitched like a spastic". He also controlled armies of Superman's foes in to attacking him. He's a sadistic man whose ideas of justice are extremely twisted and you wouldn't want him messing with your brain, that's for sure. So there you have it - ten twisted comic book telepaths you wouldn't want inside your head. Did you like this list? Which other comic book telepaths should you steer clear of?
