8. Psimon (DC)

First Appearance: New Teen Titans #3 Psimon is primarily a Green Lantern villain. He is hardly the most powerful of telepaths, but he is still fairly potent with psionics - and the kind of man he is means you wouldn't want him in your head, regardless. Prior to becoming Psimon, he was a physicist named Dr. Simon Jones (get it? Simon becomes Psimon. More like Sighmon). Whilst working on experiments that would enable contact with alternate dimensions, the demon Trigon contacted him and granted him telepathic and telekinetic abilities and told him to go out and destroy the Earth. The power granted to Jones turned him in to a horrible individual. He became arrogant, sadistic and megalomaniacal, taking pleasure in inflicting fear on his victims while making himself feel powerful. For instance, in order to terrify the world, he tried to launch a nuclear missile in North America - literally for no other reason. This kind of behaviour brought him in to conflict with a number of heroes - namely the aforementioned Green Lantern and the Teen Titans. It was actually quite pleasurable to see the Joker violently kill him.
