10 Unbelievable DC Plot Twists That Shocked The World

1. There Are Three Jokers

Geoff Johns is not only the best writer in the comic book industry today, but he's also one of the bravest. If there's one thing that is almost guaranteed to raise the ire of the hardcore fans, it's messing about with continuity, and that's exactly what he's looking to do with the Three Jokers idea.

While sitting in the Mobius Chair, Batman asks what the Joker's true name is and he doesn't like the answer. As he tells it to Hal Jordan, the chair answers him by telling him that there isn't one Mistah J but there is, in fact, three.

This makes perfect sense. After all, over the years the Caped Crusader has fought seemingly different variations on a theme. One Joker can be all gags and laughter, another can be a cold-blooded killer, while the third may seem to be a criminal mastermind, plotting and playing the long-game the whole time.

Whether or not there will actually be three different entities occupying the same piece of space and time, or whether it's just three different personalities living inside the crazed clown's mind, remains to be seen.

What is for sure though, is that when the Three Jokers book finally hits the stores, it's going to split the fandom straight down the middle.
