It was Osborn who killed Peter’s first love Gwen Stacy. It was later revealed that Gwen cheated on Peter with Osborn and had given birth to his twin children.

Peter’s enduring romantic relationship was with Mary Jane Watson. Though the geek got the girl, Peter and Mary Jane’s relationship was also laced with misfortune. The two married and tried for a child. Mary Jane became pregnant, but the couple’s child was stillborn. Peter later sacrificed his marriage, when in a bargain with Mephisto, he wiped the marriage from history to save Aunt May’s life.
