9. Shroud (Blind)

Shroud, otherwise known as Maximillian Coleridge, is a really interesting Marvel character who, after witnessing the murder of his parents right before his eyes, vowed to fight crime in any way he could and to the very best of his abilities. In order to do this, whilst growing up, he studied various styles of martial arts and became a master and, during the celebration ceremony in his graduation from the temple he had trained in, he was branded with the "Kiss of Kali" using a red-hot iron. This process embedded the image of the powerful goddess Kali in scar tissue on his face and, after a period of intense pain and hospitalisation, he came to realise that his eyesight had been replaced by a mystical extrasensory perception. It was then that he named himself "Shroud". He has worked alongside the likes of the Heroes for Hire and the Night Shift and, as well as being a highly adept hand-to-hand combatant, he also has the ability to transform Darkforce dimension energy into anything he can imagine and "see" through walls and darkness.
