10 Wacky Alternate DC Comics Universes That Need Exploration

2. Earth 31 €“ The Post-Apocalyptic Pirate World

Batpirate€ €˜nuf said. Seriously though, Earth 31 just sounds cool. Set on a post-apocalyptic Earth where the world has flooded due to global warming and various natural disasters, a pirate version of Batman called Captain Leatherwing leads the crew of the Flying Fox, which includes Robin Redblade, as they protect the Seven Seas from evil. With only a small blurb in The Multiversity Guidebook, Earth 31 is shrouded in mystery. Who are the other members of the Flying Fox? Why do they need to protect the Seven Seas? Is there an OP Aquaman analogue on this Earth? Maybe if DC put out a book featuring Earth 31, people would stop wasting their money watching horrible Pirates of the Caribbean sequels. One can dream right?

Since childhood, Bryant has been an avid fan of superheroes, and he has been reading comic books since 2006. His full name is "George Bryant Lucas"; however, after enduring countless Darth Vader jokes, he has chosen to go by his middle name. Born and raised in the United States, Bryant is currently living with his lovely wife in the country side of Wiltshire County, UK. Bryant does suffer from a mild case of dyslexia; misspellings and homonyms are to be expected on occasion.
