10 Weird DC Heroes You Won't Believe Exist
5. The Creeper
There are plenty of superheroes who deal with mental health issues, but the Creeper is downright psychotic.
Jack Ryder is a former daytime talk show host who was fired for being too outspoken. In a pretty standard origin story, he was badly wounded saving Doctor Vincent Yatz from a gangster. To save his life, Dr. Yatz injected Jack with a drug that gave him superhuman strength and agility.
However, the serum also drove him completely insane. As part of his psychosis, he believes that Jack Ryder and the Creeper are actually two completely different people.
If there's one thing you can say about the Creeper, it's that he's distinctive. That combination of a yellow bodysuit, red fur and green undies mean that you aren't going to mistake him for another hero anytime soon (although he does bare more than a passing resemblance to the Joker).
The Creeper's methods of crime-fighting are also pretty unique. His signature moves include jumping on his opponent's back and emitting a high-pitched laugh that causes his enemies physical pain.
Despite his resemblance to his archenemy, the Creeper is actually a close ally of Batman and has even been a part of his team the Outsiders.
