10 Weird Marvel Heroes You Won't Believe Exist

1. Death's Head

If you need a criminal captured, you can hire Death's Head. Just don't call him a bounty hunter. He's a freelance peacekeeping agent, yes?

Death's Head was created as part of the Marvel UK line. He was originally intended as a throwaway character for their Transformers comic, but the character's cool design and peculiar mannerisms (including ending sentences with "..., yes") made him popular enough to get his own spin-off.

One of the most amazing things about Death's Head is his crazy cross-franchise origin story. He started off in the Transformers comic, but then jumped through a time-portal to the past in his final appearance. Then he bumped into the Doctor (of Doctor Who fame), who shrank him down to human size and dropped him off on the future Earth of another series, Dragons Claws. He then had a series of adventures in that timeline, but also travelled to the main Marvel Universe to meet the Fantastic Four.

Death's Head was eventually killed and had his personality assimilated by the cyborg Minion. However, his programming overwhelmed Minion's and they became the merged entity Death's Head II.

The original was also brought back in the pages of the tragically underrated S.W.O.R.D. As writer Kieron Gillen said "if you can't bring back a time-travelling dimension-skipper, who can you bring back?"
