6. Master Pandemonium

Master Pandemonium serves as an important lesson that making deals with the devil probably isn't that smart (maybe take some notes this time Spider-Man).

Martin Preston was an actor who lost an arm in a car crash and made a deal with Mephisto to get it back. In a typically Faustian fashion, Mephisto granted the wish by replacing all of Martin's limbs with demonic grafts, turning his entire body into a home for demons. He also carved a hole in Martin's chest in the shape of a star to symbolise the pieces of his soul he had taken.

As Master Pandemonium, Martin set out with his monster sock-puppet arms to find the missing pieces of his soul. Things started pretty hilariously, with him attacking random heroes like Firebird and the Thing just in-case they had a piece. However, things soon took a dark turn.

A while before, Scarlet Witch had created two sons from seemingly nowhere for herself and the Vision. Master Pandemonium revealed that the boys souls were in-fact fragments of his own and, in a genuinely horrific scene, absorbed both children.

In a bit of karmic retribution though, it turned out Pandemonium had actually been collecting parts of Mephisto and, once reunited, the demon dragged him down to Hell for a visit.
