10 Weird Moments You Forgot Happened In Iconic Comics

6. Hulk Becomes A Clown During The Avengers' Debut

The 2012 film, The Avengers solidified Marvel Studios as a force to be reckoned with and became the third most successful movie upon its release. The director, Joss Whedon said a lot of the story was inspired by the very first issue of The Avengers. At first, that seems to be true. In both stories, Loki manipulates the Hulk to wreck havoc, which causes several superheroes to join forces to quell the Jade Giant. Realising that he is being manipulated by Thor's evil step-brother, the heroes of Earth join forces to defeat Loki. With the Norse god vanquished, they decide to become a world-saving team called The Avengers.

However, there is one moment that the movie left out. In the comic, the Hulk pretends to be a clown robot called Mechano at a circus. In one panel, he is seen juggling an elephant, a horse, and a seal. At this point, Loki is no longer controlling him which means the Hulk is doing this of his own volition.

Why did he feel compelled to get a job? No idea. Considering the Hulk emphasises that he wants to be left alone, taking centre stage at circus while juggling animals seems like a really easy way to draw a crowd.

By the way, this circus scene has absolutely nothing to do with the story. If you removed this part, it wouldn't affect the Avengers in anyway.

It's probably best that they kept this scene out of the movie. Maybe they're saving it for a sequel.
