10 Weirdest Comic Characters You Won't Believe Exist

6. The Mysterious Fan Boy - X-Factor

The Stalk Saga
Marvel Comics

As the name suggests, the weirdest thing about Arnold Lundberg - known as The Mysterious Fan Boy - is that he's a superhero who is also a huge fan of heroes in general, which is naturally pretty dang weird.

Arnold Lundberg developed an obsessive adoration of the X-Force member known as U-Go Girl, after her voice woke him out of a coma he was in. True to form, the fanboy lost his mind when U-Go Girl died in the field, blaming the X-Force for her demise.

While this might seem slightly unreasonable, there's one very fair explanation for why Arnold decides to blame the dysfunctional superhero team; because he's absolutely gone mad with power. You see, his mutant powers give him reality-warping abilities, which he - unsurprisingly - uses to torture those who live in the town he grew up in, twisting their bodies to his equally twisted whims.

When the X-Force - at this point the X-Statix - confront him, he manages to wheedle his way into the group, having a sudden change of heart about using his powers for gross evil purposes. Just when it seems like ol' Arnie might be turning things around, the team turn on him, injecting him with a serum that would give him a heart attack the next time he used his powers.
